GSDL Easter Speciality Show Postponed

Regrettably due to the current weather event in NSW the GSDL committee have made the very difficult decision to postpone the upcoming Championship Show, to be held on 16^th & 17^th April 2022.

We have exhausted all avenues to try and facilitate the event this coming weekend, including contacting over 6 council areas, showgrounds, pony clubs, sports clubs etc all of which are either closed for all sporting events or not suitable for showing at this current time.

We had two final possible options available, however having revisited these grounds over the weekend, unfortunately with the additional rain received they are not in a satisfactory state to run a German Shepherd Speciality Show.

Unfortunately, this unprecedented weather event is out of our control, and given the size of grassed area we need to run a speciality show, we are very limited as to what grounds are an option. We apologise to our interstate exhibitors, and we hope to see you at the National in June.

Please note this decision has not been made lightly and we feel your disappointment as we were all ready to show too.

Entries already made will be refunded as soon as possible and arrangements will be made to bring our judge Mr Tony Gibson from NZ back as soon as possible.

The committee want to provide you, our exhibitors, with a well-run, safe and enjoyable event. Unfortunately given Dogs NSW grounds are not available and all other suitable grounds within up to 1 hr of Orchard Hills are either under water or closed, we cannot provide our members and exhibitors with a quality and safe show.

Given more rain is also forecast this week, for the safety of our members, exhibitors and their dogs this difficult decision has had to have been made and we appreciate your understanding.
